Is there a way to export (or copy) custom filters from one machine to another (or among friends)?

yeah, they are file(s) in the data directory, i believe... pretty sure i've seen someone in forums say they re-copy them back after a patch or new installation etc.
i just looked, but not too thoroughly. 99% sure you can do this one way or another, nonetheless. EDIT: looks to be the fils in the ..\ootp\data\tables directory. they are binary files, so you cannot edit them easily it seems, but they should be interchangeable. drop someone else's into your directory... i'm not being too thorough here... you may be able to edit them too... you cna figure out hte rest. a forum search will shed light on this.
