Haven't been able to open ootp18

Hi, I purchased ootp18 through steam during the World Series sale. When I tried to run it I got some error messages and after searching around online for solutions with no luck, I gave up. Today I decided to reinstall and try again. I'm not getting the same errors but when I try to run it in steam, a window opens which says preparing to launch ootp18..., then the window disappears, then nothing. If I try to run ootp18.exe, I get the error in the image. Not sure what to try next. Thanks in adavance for any help.

What version of Windows?
Have you tried to "Verify Integrity of Game Files"?

Windows 10

I had tried that with no luck

Google the .DLL file it says is a problem. Only follow links to the Microsoft website. You should be able to re-download that file. I have had .dll problems with games and solved them that way. My problems were always old games played on new systems though.
Have you Google that message and read some tech forum answers?

I've experienced issues like that, and it really is frustrating, but it's not that hard to fix. The game is unable to run if the correct Visual C++ isn't installed. Make sure you have the correct Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable installed. (You can locate it by looking up installed programs under control panel or any other decent program like C-Cleaner which will list discrete installations.)

On Steam during the install, it should have tried to install the most relevant VC package. Almost every time I install a new game, Steam does that on the first attempt to run the game. Make sure you are not rejecting that and make sure your antivirus is not blocking it. Also, you can go online and find all the VC packages from 2005 to current or you can have Steam check the file validity to see if any files are missing.

Idk which one OOTP18 uses, but it doesn't hurt anything if you have all of them. You can even install x64 and x86 on the same machines.
