international leagues and history
I'm sure I'm not the only one that has done this but I always hated how when you start international leagues they have zero history built up despite some of these leagues being around for more than half a century or more. So I started in 1922 with the Dutch league and slowly worked my way up to my league's present year adding the Mexican (1925), Italian (1948), Japanese (1950), Cuban (1961), Korean (1982), Taiwanese (1989), and Australian (2010) leagues. It was something to see as their history built up over the years and players came in as rookies, got older, retired and some and got elected to their HOF. I then saved that world as a template and attached it to my current quickstart which was in 2019 and it worked like a charm and now I feel that these leagues have a strong history just like the MLB does.
I just had to adjust some financial figures to make them more in line with an mlb centered world so some financial and contract resets were needed. I did take the quick way and didn't bother with league growth and expansion and just started the leagues at their current size from the beginning as that would have been waaay too much work and a lot of international leagues just don't have that kind of info. Still I was satisfied with my work.
