Is there such a thing as "long term, seasonal fatigue" in OOTP?

As in, say a pitcher makes 35 starts and pitches 10 complete games (boy don't we miss those days) and by the season, he needs longer time to recover, tires sooner, and starts to pitch like crap. As opposed to the pitcher who has a limited pitch count though the season and pitches fewer innings...

Does that exist in OOTP?

I am not aware of anything like that. There could be something buried in the code that isn't public information. You never know.

No. There are things that exist in real life which the AI would have difficulty taking into account and managing (like warming up pitchers). In some cases, that means we don't have to deal with them either. I think this is one of them.

I think nagging dtd injuries was supposed to model this, but I don't think there's seasonal fatigue.

Well throwing a CG doesn't mean he's throwing a ton of pitches either. Could be throwing 100-110 pitch CGs. So that would be no different than another pitcher doing 35 starts, 6 1/3 IP, and averaging 115 pitches.

I think OOTP may use an analogue of PAP pitcher abuse points a Bill James thing I think.
