PostSeason Stats Bug
I see now this forum is the appropriate place for my post (I'd previously posted this elsewhere)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- In some instances, players who pinch-hit often in postseason games are being credited with far fewer games played than they actually appear in for postseason stats. From my limited testing, it -might- be happening to only NL teams high in the alphabet (in leagues I ran just to explore the bug, I got it with Atlanta and Arizona and didn't notice it elsewhere... but this is not a well tested conclusion). It seems to strike the same team over multiple years. I noticed this when bench players on Arizona had postseason statlines (when viewed from Career Postseason Stats) of 1 G and 9 AB for entire postseasons ... or 2 G and 18 AB. I went back to check the box scores and verified that there weren't actually any 9 AB games happening. Most of the players (even on teams with some of the anomalous stats) are having the "G" stat recorded just fine. Okay ... that's all. I highly doubt you'd want me to send you the files showing this ... but if it would help, no problem. Not trying to be cumbersome, just thorough. The game is phemonenal. |

Just wanted to point out that this bug survived the 5.10 patch. (Patch is great, btw).
My former speculation that it only affects teams high in the alphabet is false. The bug is occuring sporadically throughout all teams it seems. In my first season in post patch, I already noticed that Paul Lo Duca was credited with playing in only 2 postseason games when he certainly played in 4. All other statistics appear to be correct. If it is hard to fix, clearly this is not a big deal (affects really only subs ... and only a small number of them even) ... but I'd be willing to investigate this a little more and try to report what really seems to be happening if I had any sign whatsoever this bug was being acknowledged by someone. Is it among the known minor issues, or am I talking to myself? ![]() Again, I emphasize this is just a minor bug report. In my experience it is useful to report these. |
