More satisfying? Walk Off or Lead in the 1st

While a walk off win, especially when I've been losing most of the game is certainly thrilling and exciting, I think a game where my team takes an early lead and milks it to the end is more satisfying and enjoyable.

How do others feel?

just win, baby!

on a day-to-day perspective that is really all i care about. random results of the day are mostly that... random. whether someone hit a cycle or 3hr or 6errors and 10bb, i don't care as long as i win.

when those anomalies become trends over the long-term, i do care of course.

let the other team mutter "woulda, coulda, shoulda" about how it happened.

Tend to agree with NoOne on this. Just win.

I agree that i just want to win, but walk offs always feel more satisfying for me. Leaving the other team on the field sounds good to me.

Obligatory this should have been a poll.

But, lead in first for me.

Really two different things in my mind but if there were a poll, I would vote for the walk-off win. That's certainly more exciting, like a sugar rush kind of thing.

But still, two different things! Like I said, the walk-off win is ultimately more exciting and satisfying but the cake walk is also enjoyable for other reasons:
  • You can relax for a change. Well, "it ain't over 'til it's over" but aside from keeping an eye on things (never sim out a game thinking it's won, no matter how lop-sided the score!), the pressure is off.
  • A cake walk (on either side) is a good time for giving bench players, rookies, and rehabs a chance to play. Substitutions all down the bench and bullpen, see how they do. Sometimes it backfires but not often.
  • Stats! Usually a blowout (on the winning side) is when your player stats get a nice bump (unless the other team makes an incredible amount of walks and errors).
  • A win is a win!
Satisfying in different ways, you see.

Is it possible to convert the thread to a poll after the fact?
