Draft Eligibility Question
I am playing a fictional league with feeders. On my college feeder I have the age minimum set to 17 and the maximum set to 21. I am noticing after a few years of simming that I am getting players in the draft pool aged 22- 24. These player have used up all their college eligibility and have gone undrafted in consecutive drafts. Shouldn't they have become free agents and not be allowed to renter the draft? Is there option I have to turn on to make this happen?

i think ootp deviates form RL rules, so not 100% sure.
seems not. in RL you are continually eligible as long as you remain an amatuer? have to google... maybe it's the same as RL after all. may want to look into it more, maybe shortlist players that don't get drafted and track them a bit etc... i too saw some oddities when i used the min/max age creation settings... just a normal draft for me, though. i saw ~100% of ~decent players 18yo and all crappy ... really really crappy players were all older than 18. quickly changed it back after 2 drafts. maybe it was remnants and i didn't let it sim long enough after changing the settings (was 0/0 min/max in an established league... may have shot myslef in foot, may have been an issue with min/max age) anyway, use a restored backup to test-sim out a few years then look at ages again after it cycles through old created players. dink around see if it's just a blip etc. |
