Angry Major Bug - Ruined Season Because of Player Ejection

I was really disappointed with this one. I had already used all of my bench in a DH game. My last hitter got into an argument with the ump and got thrown out of the game. When I tried to replace him with a pitcher, the game inserted the pitcher into the game but wouldn't put him into the lineup. When I tried to move my DH to a position, it said that I couldn't do it because my pitcher would have to bat (which I would rather have than forfeit the game).

After trying to do everything possible, there was no way for me to resume the game because it kept telling me incomplete lineup. So, I bumped out. When I came back in, the game in question shows as not being played but all stats from that game are now mixed in with the player stats already accumulated, thus ruining the accumulated season stats for my team and making the game disappointing.

Does anyone know of a way to overcome this? In real baseball, if my last hitter gets thrown out, even in the AL, I can easily bring in a pitcher to play LF or whatever.

One way around the problem you had w/i the game situation is to change the pitcher to a position player (unless you are playing manager mode). I really don't have an answer to the problem with the league file. An editor is being worked on "I believe" but not certain and no idea when it will be completed.

No, I was playing manager mode and I did try to move the pitcher to a position and it wouldn't let me.

I didn't phrase it properly, I should have said "use the editor to change his position".

Again, not possible because I was in manager mode, where the editor is disabled. Basically, I was out of luck and what made it worse is that it didn't just let me lose the game I was on but instead made me lose the game AND counted all compiled stats from the lost game with no way to reverse them as they mixed in with other completed games from my manager career. Needless to say, if I ever play this game again, I'm inclined to back up the entire directory each and every day, which is something you wouldn't think a game would require you to do.

The point of my post was to draw attention to the bug that if your last player goes down because of ejection or injury, you should be allowed to put a pitcher into his position. If not, at least as an inferior but possible solution, the game should prevent a player from getting thrown out of the game when there are no players left.

I have added this situation to our "list" of issues, but no promises of the outcome.

Just trying to help identify problems. I should clarify that after further review, the stats that are mucked up are games played only, for both pitchers and batters. It seems that the at bats, etc... weren't counted but that the games were increased. It leads me to believe that games/appearances get put into the compiled file the moment a player appears in a game but that the actual performance stats, even innings or at bats, don't get compiled until game's end. Thanks for the responses!

I appreciate the input, hope that we can find some sort of solution.
