Change Major Role

Is there any reason to set/change the major role of a player?

Should these ideally match the roles set for the current tactic? Does it improve training in some way?

As a player ages, or declines in skill, or should a rookie gain in skill, you may want to adjust the role. You won't do it often, maybe once a year in the off-season.

The only other time you'd do it is if you're looking to fine tune some lines.

OK—makes sense.

I haven't touched them since I started my current save (just finished the first season), so my next question is should I be setting them to match my tactic or should I leave them alone?
