Why is commissioner mode on in historical challenge?

It seems that commissioner mode is on in historical challenge mode and I cannot seem to switch it off (Capitals challenge). Is this a bug?

Actually, it should be the other way around - the box in manager options is checked when you start the game and can't be unchecked? I just tried it with the Caps challenge and it was off for me.

Hi Jeff, yes the box is unchecked but still I am able to change ratings of the players and staff. It feels a bit like cheating to me to do this. I can simply ignore it, no problem but I wanted to bring it to your attention.

Is a challenge still achievable after you change stats?

Which ratings were you able to change? It'll let me open the edit screen (as intended) with the commissioner mode box unchecked, but I can't actually change anything.

You are right, my bad. Still you can change name, city of birth etc. I assumed everything else was also edible. Sorry for the mistake.

No problem - yeah, it's just the cosmetic stuff that can get changed. Mainly useful for things like changing team names, but also if a typo sneaks into the database you can fix it in a save yourself instead of having to wait for an update and starting a new game because somebody's named "Bob mSith".
