Generate International Free Agents
If you have Japan/Korea/Cuban leagues within your MLB universe, do you need to check this box to have players come to MLB, or does having those automatically generate these players (ex - Tanaka, Darvish, Otani, Puig)?
I am not sure if this button creates fictional players who are not in those leagues, or is what triggers those players coming to the U.S. Thx. |

It creates fictional international players it has nothing to do with existing international leagues. So what you might want to do is tinker with the origins of the create international players in the settings and make sure they don't come from countries that you already have existing leagues in but keep countries where you don't have leagues in but you would still reasonably expect to see in the majors. I completely turned off my generate international free agents because I have a lot of international leagues.
