Any idea why it's not a save

Any reason why this wasn't considered a save? The game was tied 3-3 into the tenth. I went ahead 6-3 in the top of the tenth, so I brought my closer in. He pitched an inning. No save.

I accidentally brought him in when it was still the top of the tenth (after the home run was hit), but I figured that wouldn't affect anything.

I've had this happen too. I don't understand why.

It's a limitation we've had for a while - we check the situation when you bring him in, while we should only check once he first takes the mound. If you want to be sure the stats are right, just wait until the start of the inning to bring him in (even with warming up on, pitchers never fatigue during your ABs).

I figured it might be that. I usually wait until the start of the inning but was watching TV while I was playing so I was only half paying attention.

It stinks because he was on pace to break the saves record. If I miss it by one now, I'm going to

Doesn't that mean you had the lead when you brought him in? That should be a save.

Right, but I usually bring him in at the beginning of the next inning. Yes I still had the lead and yes it should have been a save, but it looks like Matt Arnold said it's a glitch
