League Evolution: Desirable Statistical Trends

This could be one of the options under League Evolution.

I am not sure if it is better for it to be randomly triggered, or based on the success of the last world series winning team.

So if it is based on the last world series winning team, lets say that team led the league in stolen bases. At the end of the season, a storyline or article comes out and says because this team led the league in stolen bases there are now articles that have come out that show this is the best way or most economical way to win games ( i know it isnt so maybe it needs to be rephrased?)

This will lead to gms being more willing to construct their teams around fast players which leads to them being paid more and if you have some, them being more desirable as trade bait.

Also it can be a new owner goal for you.

I know stolen bases is an odd one. It can be any stat so obvious ones like WAR or OBP may take on even more importance or you may have other ones like zone rating for defense or for pitchers odd ones like wins or more important ones like FIP.

I think this happens now as teams continue to look for the next undervalued trait and it would be nice to see this emulated in OOTP
