Playoff Rosters
Hi everybody,
Im screwing something up here... When I get to the playoffs ( quick start, MLB players, regular rules except no inter league games, ) I somehow end up with not enough players on my playoff roster and no way to add more at season's end... I am probably missing a step during regular season, any direction will be appreciated. |

I believe it is your 25 man roster on 31st August that decides play off eligible players (plus anyone who is on the DL at that time as well). So unless you have more injuries since then I'm not sure how you are ending up with less than 25 eligible players. Plus you can replace those on DL to make up any shortfall in your play off roster.
Have you tried using the right click on a player and put him on play off roster? Also are there players on your 40 man but not active roster with a & next to their name - this means they are eligible for the play off roster (so were on the active roster on 31st July or on DL at that time). If you have one of those try to add him to the play off roster. Last edited by Matt Uk; 08-29-2017 at 11:36 AM. Reason: Edited for wrong deadline month! |

Thanks
Ill try when i get home, if I understand correctly, my active 25 man roster,
as of Aug 31 = P/O roster. Addtionally, if on that Aug 31 roster, I have DL players, even if the injury occurs on last day of regular season, I can replace them for play offs. If I need to replace due to DL, is anyone in my minors elligible ? |

Actually, the Major League rule regarding post-season eligibility changed a few years ago to be everyone on the 40-man roster as of Aug. 31st, not just those on the 25-man active list and DL.
I thought OOTP had incorporated that change, but perhaps not . . . |

I believe so. I just had a player injured in my last game of the season and was able to replace him with a player from AAA who had only been on the active roster during September when it was increased to 40.

Not sure. I was playing a 2001 historical game and only the 25 were eligible but perhaps the 40 man rule (if it is in the game now) only comes in on the correct year? |

You have to use customized playoff setting in League Setting - Options (and manually set playoff to current mlb format with 2 WC), and go back to Rules tab and you can enable Post-Season Rules, and right below it, you will be allowed to change Post-Season Roster Eligibility to 40 man secondary roster
