Error with # of rounds in Amateur Draft

I just noticed something about the amateur draft in my league. I have the options set to 35 rounds in the draft, and to generate enough players for 37 rounds. I was taking a look at my last draft log and noticed the draft had actually gone for 38 rounds. I then went back the past few years and noticed that the number of rounds were anywhere between 37 and 38 rounds, even though I have it set for 35. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

So I have gone through a few more seasons since I first posted about this, and I am still having the same issue. Anyone have any suggestions about why it might be occuring in my game?
