So, I got this message today. Bit of a shock, really, since I didn't even recognize the name of this Justin Page. So I opened his record. He played one year for my team, but wait. Third base? No way he was my third baseman this year, that was Javy de la Torre.

Then I realized that Justin Page played 3B for this team in 2015.

Turned out that he left the team for free agency at the end of the 2015 season. I took over the Gruffs in January 2016. This guy was gone before I ever took the reins.

He didn't play for anyone in 2016. He spent a whole year as an unsigned free agent. Apparently somebody finally got around to giving this guy a shot, and...

Boom! Fan base hit for my team.

Mind you, not only did my team just win the championship, but I -- two days prior to this -- traded for a wildly popular, all-star third baseman.

And yet, even though this Justin Page has been gone a year, his signing caused a significant decrease in my team's fan interest.

That's a rough one.

That is weird, I have seen that message and when I checked Interest it did not seem to move at all.
