Longest win/loss streak
Forgive me if this was posted elsewhere, but it is too hard to keep track of every post since OOTP5's release.
I have a small 12 team fictional league that began in 1983 (using OOTP4) with 8 teams (expanded to 10 in 1990 and to 12 in 1993). 1992 and 1993 were played using OOTP5. During 1993 my team had the longest win streak I've seen in this league winning 13 consecutive games. The expansion Buffalo Knights lost 16 in a row at one point, but finished the year at something like 52-102. Not too bad considering their $27 million payroll (most teams between $60 and $65 million) and general lack of talent. Has anyone seen longer streaks in OOTP5?

My longest winning streak was 18 games in OOTP4, but haven't approached that in 5. I'm not sure I will with the financials being tougher in manager mode now. As much as I wanted to "stay honest," it was too easy after blowing a negotiation with my stud pitcher to "extend" his existing contract one more year to give me another crack at it the next season...
![]() I think the longest streak I've had in OOTP5 is 9 games. |

I had a 15 game winning streak with the Rockies in 2003 on OOTP5.

This probably shouldnt count, given that it was in a historical sim using STB, but the 1943 Cardinals had a 23 game winner, and if I recall correctly, the 1954 (or maybe 1956) Pirates lost their last 20 in a row. Had several in the mid to high teens (winning), but dont recall specifics.
