Multiplayer trades
I have not noticed any trade offers including 3 players for 1 or even 2 for 1....it always seems to be 1 for 1. Does the AI ever do multiple player trades??

The AI will never "offer" multiple players for a trade (as in a message with player 1 & 2 & 3 in exchange for). But once in the trade window, you will get a sense for what your management, and theirs, thinks of what is on the table and both may be asked to add pieces. So no, you will never be offered more than a 1 for 1 initially, but yes (of course, as I'm sure you've seen) the AI may eventually do a multi-player deal. Not disagreeing, maybe it's in newer versions. I just cannot recall seeing one featuring multiple players offered in a message from the AI. Would love to see a screenshot of an initial multi-player off from the AI. May have to dive back into a solo league. That would be most excellent. Please post your next? |

I have never seen more than a one for one AI offer over dozens of seasons and I use the team needs
the AI will do trades like that with other AI teams but I thought we were talking about proposals to us |

I too have seen the multiple players for one trades offered by the AI. The problem is that usually the offers are that the AI offers one mediocre player for two or three of my best prospects (its laughable how bad these deals are). But I am not sure that I have ever seen the AI offer two or three of its players for one of mine.

it happens so rarely that an email offer is worthwhile on its face-value that you see posts in the forums with "!!!!" about it occuring
![]() anyway, it is a foot inthe door... you know they want that player. similar to a "shop player" results but in reverse... you almost never want to do a 1:1 trade, but it's a great start to understanding who values your player for trade. in this case it's them showing their hand in the email without even requesting it. i've seen multiple players offered for ast least 3-4 years. if anythign i don't recall one this year, but i am not looking anymore. i don't even read the emails anymore. i'm pretty systematic about who/when i trade for. i have lists of targets i want at any time for various positions of needs now/soon/long-term. i do a small amount of maintenance each year = little effort. looking at a list of 1000 players each time you need somethign takes WAY more effort.. the sifting is already done and ready the way i do it. if it's somethign that you repeat often, it's often possible to reduce effort simply by doing things a particular way.. things you normally do anyway. my lists start from drafts, but also from occasional scanning of high-end mil prospects - adding/removing from lists at all times while doing normal activities. The AI recently offered me 3 players for my David Cone in an historical league. Yes, it's really rare.

Well, speak of the devil. I have very rarely had the cpu offer multiple players for 1, but literally just happened. To make it even better, they want to chip in 70% of one of the salaries (of a $14.4 million/year 2 year contract). Of course, Wacha is washed up and horrible, and the other is a subpar prospect. All for my mediocre back-up catcher.

the CPU has offered me a 2 for 1 at times for sure, can't find them now as they have all expired.
they weren't great offers, but they were multi player.

yes by emails a team might offer more than one player for yours. That's very much true. However when you are doing a search to trade a player the AI team will ALWAYS look for 1 on 1 trade then you can goto screen and see if you can get more in the trade.. Sometimes the team will be OK with the trade other times no can do.
