Possible Trade Bug?
I posted this in the new user forum a week ago. Probably should have started here. I just started playing OOTP18 a few weeks ago. I'm in an online league with 2 other human players. I'm not sure if this is a trade bug or if I'm doing something dumb.
Whenever I complete a trade, I'll upload my roster to the league FTP site. After the commissioner sims ahead, I download the latest league file. The completed trade will show up in my transactions, but the player I traded away will be on the Free Agents list (as if I released him) and the players I acquired will be back on their original teams. The league commissioner assigned commissioner rights to my Manager Profile, no luck. The same thing happens. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? |

Online leagues work a little special. You have to think about it as if there is one person who "owns" the file, and then everyone else just updates their roster with it.
So in order to complete a trade, only the commissioner who "owns" the file can actually process the file. So whoever is responsible for simming and publishing the info should be the person to complete the trades. In that case, they will do the trade on their master file, so that when you download your copy, you will have the trade completed on there, and you can then go ahead and add the player to the lineup. |
