How do I stop AI from making too many changes during games?

I'm sort of new to baseball and I don't know how to stop the AI making too many changes.

And are these changes bad, I don't know if this is a legitimate strategy because it doesn't seem to make sense to change the pitcher every inning.

league settings -> Stats and AI

one of the dropdown boxes on left side of screen (if 1920*1080ish)

think at least one is for use of defensive subs... glance at others for sure.

i think you need to click someting to re-callibrate manager strategies for it to take effect... if not on that page check main league settings page 'functions' ... anyway, the coaches will heavily influence this, i would assume. they all have a slider for it.

Later in the game (typically innings 6-9) it's totally normal and not necessarily a bad idea to bring in a new pitcher each inning. Relief pitchers get tired pretty quickly, around 30 pitches. Your manager might also be trying to gain advantages by playing matchups (left handed batters are disadvantaged vs left handed pitchers, etc). This is a good strategy, so again frequent pitching changes may not necessarily be a bad thing.

I've enclosed a screenshot of a pitching line from one of my recent games. This is actually the last game I played.

I'd typically like to see my starter get another inning if possible, but he came to the plate down a run with two guys in scoring position. I pinch hit for him.

Cattanach, who currently has my closing duties, was hurt in the ninth.

I think it's pretty normal, though, for teams I manage to use 3-4 different pitchers in the game. The league I'm playing right now has 4-man rotations, and I will carry 12-13 pitchers on my active roster. I use them all on a very regular basis.
