GM - Free Agency Issue
Not sure how to fix this issue: My GM character got too old so I created a new one and took over my team, trying to make it like he retired and new person took over. Anyway, now I am not receiving any emails and free agent offers are being made automatically not by me. This didn't happen when I used my original character. I checked all the settings and have it set so I am supposed to make all transactions. Not sure what is happening or how to fix it. Any thoughts? Thanks!

That's intriguing and hopefully someone has an answer, but let's go back. Did you 'Quit Job' via the menu, change name, etc, go into Commissioner Mode and take over?
The section of the help manual you may need is Screen Descriptions by Menu>Manager Menu>Other Human Managers>Add/Edit Manager http://manuals.ootpdevelopments.com/..._edit_managers Creating a Manager OOTP begins with one default human manager with a generic name ("Jim Smith"). When you first start your game, you can simply edit this manager identity. For all subsequent games, OOTP will remember the name of the last human manager that you created. If you want to create a new human manager, click the Add another Manager button. A copy of the existing manager will be made, which you can then edit to your liking. The left side of the screen has options for this manager. The right side contains a list of active managers in this saved game and which team each one manages. The manager identity that is currently being edited is highlighted in the list of Active Managers on the right. Note: If you add a new manager after your game has already started, the new manager is not automatically 'logged in.' That is, when you click OK, you will be returned to the game, but you will still be 'logged in' as the previous human manager. For more information on changing the active manager, see the Select Human Manager page. Last edited by Klaus 74; 06-19-2017 at 12:24 AM. |

yeah, make sure the new one is a new human manager, not just a fictionally created one. make sure the new human gm is the active gm.
humans can coach/gm forever, if you want to. other thing to check: GM-Legacy Mode, maybe... more likely the above based on how you described it. but, a very successful coach will demand control over certain things like lineups and pitching staff etc.. this setting gives the options back to you, regardless. |

I have tried all of the above. I am listed as the active general manager. Yet, trades and free agent offers are being made without my consent. Very frustrating as my core players are being traded away.

In Team Control Settings is the "Do Not Disturb" check marked by any chance?
