New ambitious, story-driven Promotion/Relegation league now open to GMs!

The year is 2021. The MLB has folded after a nasty three year player strike and lack of interest from owners to keep fighting. Fan interest for baseball is at an all-time low, and the nation’s high schools have almost completely stopped playing baseball.

In the meantime, soccer is taking off like a rocket in the United States. After a huge FIFA World Cup win by the national team, and years of rising youth numbers, soccer is quickly becoming more popular than the national pastime. Americans are falling in love with new household names, and the systems that make European football unique.

With our favorite sport looking death in the face, a group of us has done something irrationally crazy: We bought a baseball league.

Our mission is to change baseball for the better. To turn tradition upside down. To introduce elements of the wildly popular soccer movement into the game we love dearly. And, ultimately, to make money.

The newly re-named Championship Baseball Association has risen from the ashes of baseball’s last ditch effort in the USA. Formed in 2017 as the All-American Baseball League, the league boasts some of the nation’s best players, pulled from teenage baseball academies and some of the nation’s top colleges. Unlike the MLB, the AABL had survived. Until now.

We’re breaking the league up into an Association, with three leagues of ten teams each. The best teams in each league will have a chance to be promoted, while the worst will have to fend each other off to avoid relegation to a lower league. Like soccer, fans will live and die with their favorite teams, riding the highs and lows of a true promotion/relegation league.

To avoid following in the MLB’s footsteps, we’re taking a very serious look at the identities of our clubs, creating branding and merchandise that the children and fans in the USA will fall in love with. America’s companies are taking note - we’ve already received interest from many Fortune 5000 companies who wish to sponsor a CBA team.

Now, we’re looking for GM’s to lead America’s next great baseball teams. The AABL will officially dissolve in the Spring, and an inaugural player draft will be held consisting of the AABL’s players. This is your opportunity to create a dynasty from day one. Seize it.

Hey everyone. I’m Jordan, co-commissioner of the CBA. A group of experienced OOTP online players have been working very hard for nearly 6 months to create the best fictional OOTP league ever made. We’ve taken a look at every detail of the game, stretched it to its maximum potential, and then surpassed it. Our goal of running the most unique OOTP league is well within reach.

We’ve run a number of beta seasons, making sure everything is working not only in year one, but in year 30. We’re very proud of what we’ve created, and we’re now opening the league up to new members.

The CBA contains three leagues - Premier, Silver, and Bronze - each filled with 10 completely branded teams, complete with logos, jerseys, and caps. Each team has a reserve roster, two developmental affiliates, and a 19-and-under Youth Academy team to stash and develop future stars. The best teams in the Silver and Bronze Leagues at the end of each season will be promoted to the next highest tier, while the worst teams in the Premier and Silver Leagues will be demoted.

Multiple tournaments will be held throughout the year to pit the association’s best teams against each other. A mid-summer Presidential Cup and an end-of-year Tournament of Champions will provide bragging rights and hardware for the winners.

A complete feeder league system has been set up, featuring teenage baseball academies and real US Universities. Players can enter the CBA draft as young as 14 years old. Will you take a chance on the next 14 year old phenom in the first round? Or will you opt for the sure-handed 21 year old from the University of Tennessee?

Last but not least, we’ve created a list of real American companies to sponsor teams. Each sponsor has their own perks, unlocked by reaching goals they give you. You might gain some scouting budget. Your trainer might improve slightly. You may even be able to get a large discount on a relocation. This is a feature we haven’t seen in an OOTP league before, and we’ve got a lot more plans like this in the works.

Jordan may look new to the boards, but he's been around and knows the game. He was in my online league for a while and was extremely dedicated to his logos and team articles. I am confident he will make a great Commish!

Nope, this is my first venture into running an online league. I can say for sure I'm the better Jordan, though
