League Creation Gurus : Nations Help
Been years since I actually fiddled with this, and maybe once it worked well, I don't know. What's the purpose of these Nation settings with each team if they don't generate players from those nations? What other purpose would it serve?
I've been attempting to create a small league with each team representing a specific country, selection the league nation as Unknown, thinking it would generate players from the selected Nation (below). It does not. Not under any circumstances I can create. So again, it begs the question, what's its purpose??? Is it broken?

In a normal league the nation assigned to a team is useful when you select foreign limits and indicate to set them by team nationality and not the default league nationality. What you want to do is easy. Set the league nation to whatever nation you want and then go to the players tab. You'll have the option to change the country of origin for players that are created and one for players from the draft. There are two options because players are created in other ways besides the draft (free agents, etc). From there you can set whatever country you want and the percentage that the players should be distributed by (ex: 60% USA, 40% Canada). Actually I just re-read your post and what you want is for those teams to ONLY create players from their home country in a league (ex: usa team only creates Americans, canadian team only creates canadians). That's a bit more problematic. You can try and set the no foreign limits and set to team nationality but the AI isnt' quite as saavy with that and they tend to sign and release and sign and release players because of that limit.

What you can do is make sure that your league creates the right number of players for each country and then do an initial draft. If you set your rules not to allow foreign players...your teams will then draft players only from their country.

Is the foreign limit available by league? In this case, it's a feeder league and after the inaugural. Can you conceive this procedure working after making the necessary adjustments, clearing rosters at that level, and filling with fictionals?
