Just curious if anyone has any tips on how to 'push' a player to retire?
I have a 38 y.o. catcher that is signed on for 4 more years and is costing me a mint with horrible numbers. Can't hit my mom's fastball, I think. Is it best to drop him to Single A? Sit him? bench him? Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated. Cheers...

Drop him to Single A, it should help encourage him.

In OOTP4 (and earlier) yes, in OOTP5, he may not. I was guessing since this is the previous version forum that he's referring to OOTP4, but I should have been more specific.
