Add New DSL Affiliate For Expansion Team
For OOTP '17...
I'm starting the 4th year of my expansion franchise. I have the standard amount of 7 total minor league affiliates: 1 each AAA, AA, A+, A, A-, and 2 Rookie League affiliates in the Appalachian League. I want to create a brand new affiliate in the DSL to bring my total to 8 affiliates. I can create the team no problem, but cannot affiliate it with my organization. How can I create a new, fictional, minor league affiliate team and tie it to my organization? THANKS in advance! |

Theoretically you should be able to affiliate it without a problem
What happens when you try to do so?

I navigate to the DSL league screen, and go to League Settings, and select Edit League Structure. Then, I pick a division and hit Add New Team. The team gets created no problem, but it doesn't show up in my list of all my other affiliated teams. When I go to the team's Team Settings to edit, the Parent Team ID is locked, and I can't change it from either the League settings or Team settings screen. So basically, I just created a brand new independent DSL team not affiliated to any MLB franchise.
