How do you change league options

I want to eliminate shootouts and maybe change the league point system. Can I do this?
Is there a shop around option like baseball?
Can I turn off the financials?
Can I play in Commissioner mode?

Overall, I like to change my league options? Can I do this?

This has been bugging me too in Path to Glory mode. Also, is there any kind of edit feature?

If you're wanting to make drastic changes, you'd be best to create a Custom "Fictional" League where you could set up those changes before you begin. You can use all real NHL rosters and have 3 tiers (ie: NHL, AHL, CHL) which will give you flexibility and will sim games faster.

There is no shop around feature like in OOTP. The trade system is different here, although it's something we're looking at changing in future versions of the game.

You can also play in Commissioner Mode in all Sandbox modes. But you can't change financials. You can randomize contracts though.

Path to Glory is a very standardized mode where the point is you can't change a lot. It's all finite, with an ending at 25 to 30 years. You might be better checking out the Sandbox options if that's what you're looking for.

My advice would be to only play fictional mode if you don't care about or pay attention to countries of birth for players. In that mode there's a bug that was never fixed that sees a massive majority of the game generated players for the draft come in as American's. Hardly no Canadian or European players. May not be a big deal to some but for realism that's enough reason for me to stay away from fictional.
