Help me understand whats going on (Available cash question?)

Hi there!

So, I have a question about available cash.

I am making a deal currently, trading off a player with a current 5.5mill salary, all of which is owed by me. I am including 2 minor leaguers, not on the 40 man / on minor league contracts.

In return, I am getting 1 player that is on the base 535k salary due to playing in the majors this year, 2 minor leaguers on minor league contracts, and 500k in cash.

So by my thinking here, the 2 minor leaguers on both side are a wash. On the major league side, I am taking on 535k - the 500k cash(Or does that go into a separate pool?), so a mere 35k, while offloading 5.5mill...

so, should improve by around 5.465mill. Except, it says only 3.654mill. Where is the other 2 mill going exactly...? Even if the 500k cash goes into a different pool, I should still improve by just under 5 mill? Why am I seemingly missing 1.5-2mill here...?

Further adding to the oddness for me, if I set it to have me cover 100% of my guys 5.5mill, it says I still IMPROVE by 173k ... ? How would that even be possible?

I made sure none of the salary was covered by another team on my guy or something... so I am highly confused by this. It's not the first time I have noticed things seemingly not adding up now that I am further in the season. It didnt seem to be an issue early on in my season, so I am concerned something is bugged, but hoping there is just something I am not considering.

I can provide screenshots / further info if need be. Thanks!

If the game is in mid-season, maybe it is not counting the salary that has already been paid to the players on each side?

Oh jeez, Duh (on my part!). That's gotta be it, cant believe I didn't consider it, but I knew it had to be something simple! Thanks, lol. I am used to games that don't consider these things :P
