Scouting disagreement over pitch repertoire

OSA thinks this guy throws three pitches, my scout says four. What's going on here?

Wow. I can honestly say I've never seen THAT before. Must only pull out the screwball for the REAL scouts.

I've seen pitchers with marginal pitches who OSA and my scout disagreed (as your example shows).

OSA doesn't think his screwball is good enough to even report.

I've seen it before. It's just because OSA only scouts once per year and they haven't scouted him since before he added the pitch. So when OSA runs again, it will pick up the new pitch

probably scouting inaccuracy... because osa re-scouts same time and frequency as your team's scout.

maybe it registered as 0 potential pitch due to inaccuracy and not displayed like any other 0/200 potential pitch... definitely possible with a new pitch. it's generally ~5-20 out of 200 potential, so it's not far off from zero once rounded to your scale.

In this istuation, especially at age 25, i make organizational decision and lop off a crap pitch, lol.... like this guy i would definitely cut the new one... but the screwball i would make a decisions before 'seeing' under-the-hood... in this case likely keep it... anything near 1/2 scale i'd choose to keep (no matter what i saw in editor, if i make a decision i follow-through, even if negative impact to ~nearly simulate what happens in RL on occasion)

anything that's accurately 40-45ish/100 or less is a net-negative attribute in any ML i have created. (*tougher with lower resolution scales and scouting inaccuacy... that "40-45" is ideal and not realistic to make it a black-and-white threshold for the way most people play... more feedback involved in the decision)

even though a 10/200 pitch won't be used often, i don't want it used at all! LoL... and i can make it so, easily. a slightly below average pitch for a 3rd RP pitch isn't so bad.. in fact can be helpful... SP, i want a bit more out of the third pithc, but 5th starter or Long-reliever, it's no problem. i may not want my CL or SU throwing a sub-standard pitch, though... would rely on stats to flesh out any situation that's not obvious -- preferably not in the ML or with another team, if so.
