Historical Players - Initial Injury Proneness
It looks like the initial injury proneness is based on games played in the year imported. Therefore, rookies who got limited playing time get a "Fragile" rating and therefore more likely to get hurt in a historical career play which doesn't seem realistic to me. Is there a way to reset that for every player without editing each one? Could this be tweaked in a future update to possibly look at age before determining if someone is fragile?

This has been a pet peeve for me. I hope you can make some progress toward getting it changed.

I agree with this, it's one of the reasons I play with recalc on (even though it makes it more predictable). One suggestion is have an option to make the injury rate based on career averages, much like fielding or pitcher stamina.

Fragile is meaningless for a players first few years. It really should say Normal. It is just a placeholder until there is enough game data available to create a real determination. I think that is 3 years of game play.
No need to panic unless you'd just like to.

Spritze,
If I look at the injury information in the editor he is definitely injury prone. Here is the screenshot of Yoan Moncada in a new 2016 historical league. Are you saying the game will ignore this rating if the player has minimal experience in a historical league? |

It does not mean nobody gets injured, just that fragile is not a cause. As you move along in your league many to most fragiles become something else.

So proneness in the player data has nothing to do with frequency of injuries? What does it do?

Without re-calc, I simmed for three years and the players injury rating didn't change at all and didn't get hurt either.
While I guess it could look at the experience and then decided to interpret the same injury rating different that seems like over-complicating the programming, but I didn't write the program or work with them, so I'll assume this is working as designed and not a bug. |

My previous example came from a league with reserve rosters. i created a new league, same year, but used AAA, AA minors and Moncada had a normal rating as did everyone else.

Reserve rosters are unusual since players do not often get injured sitting around doing a whole lot of nothing.
