Nice. Well written and comprehensive.

I largely agree with your "What works." It sounds fan-boyish, but I quibble with one of your two (2!) items of "What doesn't work": The game does come with 30 sets of current MLB stadiums in 2D picture format and 3D stadium models. Or I misunderstood what you said, or Steam is different from the downloaded version that I have.

Thanks for sharing your review.

Oh, I meant mainly that there are no 3D historical stadiums, those available as mods vary greatly in terms of quality, and I've yet to find the 1950s Yankee Stadium.

This fellow has one, I believe. When you click on the link in the OP, it takes you to his Mediafire account. Click on Historic_MLB and scroll down. There's a listing for a 1952 Yankees Stadium. I have not used it yet - I'm still in 1906 - but I've used other stadiums that he's done and they are fine.

Did you put it in your ballparks/models folder?

Tip: unzip the file to your ballpark/models folder. Then in the game ballpark editor click the other actions drop down ad select "manually import a ballpark from a file"

Go to the park folder and select the .prk file. This will import the whole shebang. 2d pictures, park factors, diagram view. Try itnout

Of course, I forgot to put them in the 'models' folder. Thanks so much!

Nice review.

I do disagree, somewhat, with the seeming shot taken at FM and SI. Mainly, in that it comes after all the talk about historical. It's one thing to put historical for MLB and some minor leagues, to try to figure that out with dozens of leagues around the world, and their youth systems would be impossible.

I love both games and they're very different, but I like that.
