Where Can You Find a List of Minor League Managers?

I'm doing a replay of the old Southern Association and need the managers for the years 1948 to 1960.

If anyone has the Baseball Guides published by Spaulding and The Sporting News, I think they used to list the managers on the first page of each league's statistics.

I haven't been able to find the information on the Baseball-Reference website.... are minor league managers listed for each season?

Would very much appreciate your help.

If you are interested, you can follow the Southern Association replay on the OOTPB Dynasty Forum (EC's Southern Association)... I use the actual lineups for each game... I get them from the New Orleans Times-Picayune newspaper... but the write-ups rarely give the managers.

Mobile is managed by Al Todd... New Orleans by Jimmy Brown... and I think Atlanta's skipper is Kiki Cuyler... need the other five teams.

Near the bottom in "Specific" click "Timeline" a PDF in #5. In that download you can scroll down each year and it will summarize briefly each teams changes of interest including managerial (usually only for the Pelicans) with the name as well.

This will help. Click on each team on the left side and it will display the winning manager and the year on the right. Some zig-zagging will get you closer to where you want to go.

That's the first thing I tried and didn't get much help.

Even a Southern Association website doesn't have the managers listed for each year... very poor site... I think it is put up and maintained by a New Orleans Pelican fan... just concentrates on the Pels.

But at least it gives the final standings each year and a few league highlights... which Baseball-Reference doesn't always list for the late 40s and early 50s, despite providing the league statistics.
