Cannot Complete Lineup

I am starting my second season of the game but this year I have run into something which never happened last year.

I was setting up my first lineup for an exhibition game and it let me place 8 slots but I could not drag anyone into the 8th slot. I tried and tried for like ten minutes, then I moved a few players around so I filled that 8th slot but left open the lead off slot. Again I tried to put my 9th and final player into that slot but nothing.

No matter how I juggle or who I try to put into the last slot of 9 lineup slots it will not take that player so I cannot complete my lineup thus I cannot play a game.

I got out of it and later came back to try it again - same thing. Everything works fine until I try to finish the lineup with my 9th slot then it won't take anyone.

Very frustrated as I finished a whole season last summer without ever having this issue.
