Best Start to a Season?

I just finished my 2028 season with the Padres where I had an incredible 24-3 April, then won my first two games in May for a 26-3 start.

I finished the season only 102-60, however, and lost in game 5 of the divisional series to the wild card team.

In the 8th inning their .195 for the season 33 year old catcher, with 35 speed, stroked a single, stole 2nd on my 75 arm backstop, and scored on a 2-out single against my 53 save closer to break a 3-3 tie. That catcher won series MVP with a .361 average and 3 homers in 5 games, while my MVP candidate 3rd baseman hit under .200 for the series including 0-4 in the deciding game leaving men on base multiple times. Ah, the agony of defeat!

Impressive, but you STILL would have had to go 9-2 over your next 11 to match the 84 Tigers and their 35-5 start.

And they even won the World Series!

Something similar happened to my team just this season...super hot start but so-so in the last 2 months and a quick exit in the playoffs.
