Financial help

Is there a guide out there or does someone have a thread that covers all aspects of the financial model in the game? Not just modern world but historical and fictional also?

In my fictional league with random historical imports I'm in 1958 (started1901). I never used the reserve clause for this league because I wanted to see more player movement, better salaries, etc. It's worked but in 1958 I created an independent league (rated 7) and it's finances are screwy. They are slightly higher than the Major League. Obviously they shouldn't be. Their media contract is through the roof. Majors is around 35,000 and the IND Lg is 550,000. How can it be so far off? Anyway here are some screen shots...that mass-adjust finance button is new. Has anybody used that?

you can modify finances of the independent league and minor leagues this year..

i know the mil stuff is new, or i never noticed, lol. thought it said in past no mil options fo rthis.. but...

anyway.. look at that finance settings page, use dropdown to select the independent league and cut their revenue streams down to size.

i couldn't tell you good values for a 1958 economy... maybe load up a default RL league and look at those settings (then delete the league). if the inepependent league didn't exist then ... well?

if you don't care about accuracy of such an inignificant league (my opinion, maybe not yours) jsut drop it to an insanely low value... problem solved that they won't surpass contracts of your ML level.

I basically did what you said. I looked at other independent leagues to get a baseline. I also tinkered around with the mass-adjust button. It lets you adjust a lot at once obviously. So I ended up with reducing the league to a third of what the MLB level league is. I just wanted to make sure the teams in this league didn't have an insane amount of money and could start drawing my better players form the main league. Thanks for the advice!!

mass adjust? i just want to make sure it wasn't the "Factoring" option...

that just allows for larger numbers to function in the game... it's in the background and won't affect what you see. if you do a factor of .001, it's not actually reducing income by 1/1000th.

signed number can't be greater than (2^32)/2... and account for zero, so either the -/+ is (2^32)/2 and - 1 (or plus one if negative)... so they put that factoring in when they introduced inflation. perpetual growth and all...
