Historical Leag., players showing w/previous stats.

When you start a new league, example 1901, and zero out previous stats, everything is fine until the day after end of season. Then players that missed 1901 in real life but played in 1902 show up in the Free Agent listing (which isn't bad but ideally they should be showing up on the rookie draft list). The main problem is their real MLB stats are showing up as part of your league stats. In my example, at the end of the 1901 season it will show Jimmy Ryan as the leader in many of the categories on the career leaderboard even though he didn't play a single inning!!! I end up deleting Ryan and about 25 other players that played prior to and after the 1901 season but not the 1901 season.
If it cannot be fixed maybe there could be an option to delete such players from entering your league. In my example, I have to go in at the end of the season for about 15 years manually deleting such players. If you delete them once, they will pop up again for each succeeding year that they actually played.

Not sure that it is an actual bug, I think I remember Spritze saying it is working as it should, but there are certainly some who think it needs addressed

in this thread from OOTP17 Markus says it is working as it should, but he mentions possibly adding an option to prevent players from entering that cause this issue in OOTP18
