just took one picture but this every team too both batters and pitchers but why are the overall potential and potential rating so off? Overall is high and potential is low are they all over achieving?

That's an odd one that would take a lot of exploration about how you arrived at his point. If you have a backup, you may want to go to the Global Settings and run a Recalc scout ratings or whatever it's called. See if things look a bit better. Seriously, though. Usually that means, as you probably know, they're on the decline, but you have young players in that group. Something's screwy somewhere now or before. Might try that and see what they look like afterwards.

league settings has an option just to re-run scouting - no backup necessary, totally safe to use. if that doesn't fix it... ? was this an imported game? i bet scouting will be good to go, they just changed something relating to ratings display in the patch eh?

run the other one endgame mentioned if you changed ai evaluation settings. that also re-does strategy sliders of coach for player evaluation to match your new settings (i'm sure there's purposeful deviation form the specific settings).

Do you have the "use AI evaluation, not ratings" checkbox checked? If your AI Eval is set to mostly stats, and that box is checked, I think you could see something like this.

ok i unchecked the box now all of the players over all ratings dropped by 10-12 points

Are they still higher than the Potentials? On your previous settings, your OVR rating was being calculated on the basis of stats, and your POT rating on the basis of player ratings. So they were based on two separate things, and didn't need to be in any particular relationship. For some reason the game really seems to like your players' stats, and maybe the stats for everyone in your league based on your description. When you uncheck the box you unchecked, both the OVR and the POT values should be based on ratings. If you still see POT less than OVR, that means a player is probably going to decline. If you don't want to ever see that, there's another checkbox in Game Setup you can check (called something like 'Display POT < OVR' but I don't have the game open to check).

So after I uncheck the box the overall rating dropped but more in line with potential rating but I guess it gets the rating base on performance which makes sense many of those players under performed which will allow for a lower rating

well, don't uncheck if you use the settings and liek it... just re-run scouting from that AI-evaluation settings page, not the league settings. heck do both, the league settings one doesn't cause any real changes, just re-scouts and applies inaccuracy from your settings.


that's the way to see if something is screwy... turn on 100% accuracy for a moment. don't even save the game after you do so... ctl-alt-del and End Process (not end task!) when done looking. turn off anything that changes how you see ratings duing this process - even if you typically use it... like relative to position etc... make them absolutely scaled ratings from the 1-200 editor values (remember 201-250 is above the scale, don't use that when converting actual editor value to your ratings scale). if the problem abates, you know it's somethign funky with one of those options and that nothing is wrong under-the-hood... if that's the case i'd try to explain what's happening with some screen shots of the 2 states of the game and post in bugs.

end process reason - that way your AI and you don't have 100% accurate scouting report in the player profile histories to see. so, do nothing else, if you choose to do this. load it up, turn 100%, and observe for a moment or two. so, don't do this if you need to save soe work you jsut did... do this after freshly opening up the app and your league file
