It creates players based on the created player age range which is separate from the roster age range.

Yeah I've noticed this too, you're trying to do a college league, right? Once people get released because they're over the limit, I notice they just sign with a different team, this was actually the only thing keeping me from trying to do this again. If anyone had any way to fix this I would like to know as well.

First set roster limit as you have. Next set player creation age to the same limit. Start your league w a draft of fill players. If you don't want the first batch to be 100% then lower sabermetric calculations before starting. Then go back to player creation and have the ages 18 to 18. Now all rookies in the draft will be 18. |

I have a college feeder set up from my OOTP16 league, imported it a few days ago to OOTP18 and have played 3 seasons so far, everything seems to work as it did before.
I originally filled my league with players aged 18-21, set my age limit as the same, but let players enter the draft 1 year early if they choose. I set my created player age to 18 after the teams were originally filled. Everything seems to be working as normal, but I also haven't really looked at it too much, will have to double check that tonight. |

The way it's supposed to work is that when the season is over that's when the age restrictions kick in and the AI will release or release to draft all those that are older than the max age you set. The date the season ends is the set date where the AI determines the age cutoff. I'm not sure if that was changed in ootp 18. Last edited by andyhdz; 03-28-2017 at 05:34 PM. |
