Player aging

Ok the player aging is set at 1.000 as default if I set it lower that means they age slower? I know the aging process got redone in version 18. However I had a ton of players in my league that were in their early thirties they were Superstars great current and potential still but since version 18 they within weeks just turned to scrubs. I don't know if this is a mistake that I just want to slow down the aging process I don't want this to continue to happen. Many players still play good at 31-34 years of age in real life but now I'm my game they suck

Right... if you for instance set it to .500, they will age half the speed... 2.000, double the speed.

Waiting to see comments on this year's aging speed ratings as well.

Ok, I finished playing (played through to the spring training of 2018) my first year of the Twins on Build 18.1.33 with lessened aging effects... Batter aging speed and Pitcher aging speed both set to .800
and wow... the guys are REALLY not aging very much at all.

Way too much of a change, so I'm thinking that the game defaults are pretty good this year compared to, say, 3 years ago game.

Thought I'd pass this info on to anyone who's working through the game and hasn't finished their first year and wondering about this like I was.

I had it set at .700 and I see a bunch of younger players still flame out. For some reason, I just feel like some stars have really short peaks but then again I guess that's also realistic. I've just made many mistakes signing a guy I thought was a star to a long contract and then he just falls off a cliff at 29.
