minor league?

I started a league simmed one season then I expanded. I signed a few minor league guys and got a few more in the expansion draft. Then the remaining slots were filled with fictional players. Well after two seasons I went in and released a lot of players from my minor league teams (the fictional players are really bad) then under team control I set it to where my minor league managers could sign and release minor league players. My question is at what point will they sign players?

I haven't looked at this too recently, but when I've expanded, and an AI team has mostly empty minors, it usually signs a trickle of players during the offseason, then realizes when the minor league season is about to start that it needs a ton of players, and then it signs a lot of guys. That's not really how it should work, but I think you might be waiting a while, if you're early in the offseason. You can still sign guys manually if you want.

If you do notice the AI waiting a long time to sign guys, if you mention it here I'll report that on beta and ask dev to look at improving the AI behaviour.

I'll just play the season and see when and if they sign anyone. I'm at opening day for ML and still no one signed.

*** Minor League teams were filled on ML opening day.

In my experience, "minor lg managers" sign a skeleton crew roster of minor leaguers when each of their respective league seasons.....the AAA, AA, and A generally about a week or so after ML season starts. It's not ideal....I end up spamming a bunch of minor leaguers blindly when this happens.
