Question about setting up a fictional league

Ok so I want to create a fictional team where it's still MLB with real MLB players but with two more expansion teams so the league has 32 teams. I set everything up with a fictional league but then realized the players were fictional too. How should I proceed?

Sadly, you need to start another game

Don't delete that one, you might use it for some other project someday!

Start a new real MLB game, then go into league settings and schedule the expansion draft. I haven't tried this yet in 18, so I'm not sure how the WBC might affect this. The expansion draft is immediately scheduled for the next game day, so I dunno if that will scramble the WBC rosters somehow.

I forgot to mention I was trying to do a complete fantasy draft before the season started. So use real players but draft brand new teams. I only wanna control one of the two expansion teams I wanted to add.
