Promotion/Relegation

The team with the best record or records gets promoted and the team with the worst record gets relegated automatically.

One option I would like to see added in the automatic is for the league champion to be promoted instead of the best record.

I set it to manually do this so I select, but it would be a nice option.

Also in the automatic I had two divisions in each sub league, it would be good if they moved them to balance the divisions automatically.

My favorite feature of the new game for sure.

Would be cool to run a league where the regular season and playoff champions both got promoted.

Manually you can do that. It really isn't that hard either as the game won't advance if you remove the automatically relegate check box. Pretty good really.

I just found this out this morning when two of my league champs kept put. I agree, it would be nice to have the playoff winner/winners get promoted automatically

It would be REALLY awesome if we could combine playoff structures between leagues so that the bottom teams from the higher league play off against the top teams from the lower league. Probably too much for this version but it would be a fun option!

In the meantime I agree it would be great to be able to promote the 2 finalists (or whatever) from the lower tier playoffs (which is what I am setting up now to do manually).

There may be a way with the tournament function, I have played around with it though.

You can't use your league teams in tournaments though so I don't see how that would work.

Could you use the playoff function from the League Association? Set it for the bottom two wildcards of the higher league against the top division winners of the lower league?

Play it as an exhibition series. Stats won't save but you will have real games.

OK so,

My goal is to set up a Vermont High School baseball world. There are 4 Divisions. I want them all to have their separate Playoffs (State Championships). I want to be able to Promote the Regular Season Champ (best record), and the Playoff Tournament Champ (if different). The worst record (and possibly 2nd worst) would be Relegated from the higher up Division. I like the idea of the Promotion Candidates playing off against the Relegation Candidates, but that's not a must.

I am completely fine with manually handling all Relegation/Promotion duties myself at the end of the season. I plan on creating the schedule manually each season too.
There will be:
18 Division I teams
16 Division II teams
13 Division III teams
11 Division IV teams
I want to be able to schedule some games between the Divisions, though most will be played against same Division.
Playoffs (State Championships) will be played in each Division in a single elimination Tournament. I don't mind setting the brackets up myself either dependent upon head to head tie breakers.

My biggest question is how to create the game?!
Any help to set up the League(s) and Divisions will be my greatest hope here. Where I can move teams from each Division at the end of the season. I would imagine this could be done, but they are all really their own league with their own Playoffs. So how?

Also, the age restriction thing. Any pointers how to set that up?

I know there are genius' on here and I'm hoping for guidance so I don't have to take six days to set this up!

And if anyone wanted a jersey project I could provide all names and team colors.

Peace!

The two wishlist items for me for pro/rel are promotion/relegation playoffs, and the ability to have multiple leagues on a level. In other words something resembling the english football pyramid.

That is top of my list too. The English "pyramid" used to be pyramid-shaped much higher up as well - the third tier was split North/South well into the 50s.
