Does a massive worldwide league exist?

Curious if anyone has ever tried building up an ultimate OOTP universe where in addition to MLB and minors systems, human owners (who aren't also controlling MLB teams) control all the international and independent teams and compete in those leagues as well.

I've been out of the game for a while, but getting back in with OOTP 18 and would be very interested in joining up with something like this on the international/indy level.

I've been working on a 64-team worldwide Global League, which contains 16 regional divisions of 4 teams. It's pro/rel, too: there are 16 minor leagues of 16 teams each, and the last-place team in each Global division switches places with the appropriate minor-league champion. (For example, if Buenos Aires finishes last in the Global League's Latin American Division, they get relegated in favour of Montevideo, champions of the Latin American League.)

The leagues will feature as many real teams as I can cram in, but several them will be fictitious or only loosely based on real-life teams. (I just hope my computer can handle it all...)

so..do you mean each of the Global teams has 1 minor league team (AAA for instance..so (64 teams x 1 minor league..equalling 64 minor lg teams total) or do you mean you have 16 minor leagues with 16 teams each (16 leagues x16 teams each? 16x16 equalling 256 teams)

I was more referring to an online "real" world where a group of 30 owners run MLB teams and their minors

but also a sim where international and independent leagues exist and are human owned with their own real world unique rules & pay scales with all leagues serving as feeders together existing in the same universe.

With international and indy leagues having no minors, I think owners could compete in multiple international leagues if they wanted to, but I think seeing washed up players become studs in the indy league or a stud from Australia coming to MLB would be an interesting experience.

Plus you could have an amazing "World Cup" featuring all the teams each year

You're running up against sim times and really large files I'm afraid. I love these large world setups but I've come to realize you have to trim things down. I know you mean online but just as a solo player it can take a while so I'm assuming for an online league it would mean a pretty large update file to generate/upload and then download/update on the other end.

I have always wanted to create a soccer style world league and now that we have promotion/relegation it seems like something that would be really cool.

something like English Premier league in USA with 4-6 levels and promotion/relegation

also have maybe have multi level leagues in Japan, Cuba (or really all the islands) and Mexico.

have ConCaf tournaments to mirror the EURO ones (I think that is what it is called, everything I know about soccer comes from playing FM)

I think there is a very cool outline here - just a lot of work to set it up and I am still in the process of recreating or importing my 7 "normal" leagues. Not sure where I would find the time to create this monster.

I was going to do something very similar, but with major leagues because pro/reg only works between major leagues, but each league can only regulate to one other league. So I had to make each division a separate league and then put them together in an association, which wasn't ideal, but it kinda works.
