Retain Salary

When retaining salary in a trade, is the amount in the drop down the percent of what you're retaining? And then to the side of it I assume that's the percentage in terms of dollar figures retained?

This may be a stupid question, I just wanted to clarify.

Not a stupid question. The setting is for how much of the player's salary you will retain after trading him away, if that makes the deal more palatable to the other side.

Notice before I traded him, I owed Jaconelli $9.2MM for two years. I offered to retain 30% of his salary in the trade. The last screen print shows that I still owe Jaconelli $2.8MM per year, even though he's playing for somebody else.

Didn't even know this was a feature...

Fantastic description of how it works really appreciate the screenshots. Thanks for helping me this is definitely a feature I will use.

My pleasure. As I was saying in another thread, it's this kind of thing that builds immersion in the game for me.

I'm very impressed with the little things they've done to add immersion including this, but some of the settings they've done, coming in blind...I didn't realize how much they were doing.

One of the things I like to do is to open up the previous version and the new version of OOTPB, side-by-side, and do a "walk-through" of each, screen by screen. That's what I am doing right now.

That's a really cool idea. This year I paid less attention to the new additions than ever before, so I kind of came in blind/focused only on WBC/new 3D...so I think your side by side comparison might be a fantastic idea to get acclimated to the new game.

Especially considering last night I was "playing" the game, but mostly just checking everything out and found a ton of new features, or at least I think are new, and barely even made it through two games simulated when usually it's a lot more than that.
