I'm always gone with real players, guess it is because of the familiarity. Although a couple guys from around are trying to convince me to go in the direction of fictional.

I love fictional league, you basically create your own history with a fictinal league. It's just harder to get into it to begin with, that's all.

Thats it exactly Cuss. The whole thing seems odd at first and even when you get used to the concept the initial seasons of any fictional league are not easy to immerse yourself in to. However once you start to get familiar with players and they build reps as stars, bums, hot young prospects etc. it starts to pull ahead of a real player league in my mind. You can build your own histories and not have any preconceived notions on players, teams etc. Everything is unknown and thats what makes it so interesting.

Fictional and Historical.
I don't like playing woith Today's players because I feel like how they perform in real life plays a part in how I look at them. That's not a good thing. |

I prefer fictional players. By the time you've gotten a great league history after 20+ seasons, it doesn't matter whether you started with real or fictional players, other than the names in the record book and hall of fame. My preference for real players would be playing a historical league rather than current-day going forward. To me, the allure of playing with real players is the comparison between what they did in RL and how they perform in OOTP.

Fictional!!!
I'm in one each, actually...fictional, now, and historical. I will always love fictional, and the ABL is an example of what I can do with it. But I'm anxious to run Da Bums in TFFO. -John |
