Can we disable some of the news items?

Those ones that come up over and over (that I never read) about top lefthanded rookie SS runs score in June. And similar things.

And the "It's only muscles" ones

BNN Stats and stuff like "Does Age Matter?" and "Honestly, It's Just Muscles" are in the General News category. You can temporarily filter your news in the News Listing, as I have done below in the first screen print. Unfortunately, you can only filter for something, not filter it out and see others, and the filter is not sticky anyway.

What you can do is to unselect General News from the categories of messages being sent to your Inbox as in the second screen print. However, if you notice not all General News is boring and repetitive. Go back to the first screen print and see what else you would be missing.

I'd like to be able to just see news from my ML's and not minors except for my team.

You bet. Something more than filtering one at a time, and make it sticky.

Maybe we suggest more ideas for new items? Instead of seeing (for the umpteenth time) "Its all muscles" type news items, maybe more variety such as Pitcher Joe Blow has just overtaken Pitcher Joe Smith to move into second place on Career Saves list, or 2B John Doe has executed his XXXth double play. Other ideas?

Mr. B yes more useful league specific items of players setting records and such would be good. It's just those BBN News things with the short lists I have no use for.

Yes, it's those kind of improvements that lend to immersion which every year I stress as important in each new version of OOTPB. Sure the 3D stadiums will pull in crowds, but do they stay for the long haul once the amusement of animated player pawns turns to boredom? Do they return for the next version? It's the immersion that creates long-term customers like me.

Yes, I've had every version since 4 and I don't use a lot of the flashy new stuff. I ask for one thing each year that shouldn't be that difficult and nothing. This is now my new request, so maybe I get one of them

This is a classic example of TMI... All the BNA stuff on minor league records and "it's Just Muscles" is wasted space and attention that many of us have been plodding through for years. It's gotten too time consuming to do that anymore.

At least let us filter out the minor league stuff, while making sure we can see both major league awards and news.
