It was mentioned in another thread that the WBC as we know will not be in the game due to not having the license, but there is a way to get a WBC like tournament in the game.

Will I be able to decide my own format for the tournament. My league consists of only 2 fictional countries. Will I be able to run a small tourney of just those 2?

Maybe like a best of 7 or 9 series.

You can make your own Olympic type tournament.

How will this work vis-a-vis tournament venues/hosting? Will there be an option to manually or automatically (for recurring tourneys) select a single host country? Can the venues used in a tournament also be spread out over several participating nations, just like the WBC?

It's actually far better the way it's being implemented. Like Lukas said, we can create our own Olympic tourneys, or any other kind of tournament you wish, without being restricted by brand names and set formats. We'll presumably have far more flexibility this way.

This feature sealed it for Me. I'm no longer running my huge leak because it was too much to handle I had like 20 something countries I'm down to only one League with a couple of low-level ones one country but players from literally every country I'm wondering if I can make the tournament consisting of players from my leagues( which consists of one major league, one AAA, one Independent and one winter) but pick players from each Nations within those league to form a team?
