HUGE Mac issue

Seems I cannot open a quickstart game from the menu. Every time I try, it quits.
Running 10.12.3 on a 27 inch iMac.
Game version 17.12.75.

On doing more research, this looks like there might be a tie to the Sierra beta, as some of my older QS games import, albeit slowly.
