How do I unlicense a code?

Hey guys I need to wipe my computer clean and wanted to unlicense OOTP17 before I do so so I can reinstall it easily.

I can't seem to find a working link that explains how to do this, and I can't find anywhere in game to unlicense. I figure someone has to know though. I'm on Windows 10 if that matters.

from the on-line manual - not at my game computer, so can't look up specifics beyond this:

License

OptionDescription Release license / un-license game Allows the user to unlicense their copy of the game. Use this option if you wish to remove the license from OOTP for any reason. You can always re-license the game at a later time. If you choose to unlicense the game, the game will revert to running in "demo-mode". See Uninstalling Your License for more information.
hope this helps. (as i recall, when you click on the license tab, more info comes up. (i've had to do it a couple of times, and it's pretty straight forward. i have win 8.1, but i suspect it's the same method.)MAKE SURE TO BACK UP your game (or even your entire OOTP folder) to an external HD or flash drive before wiping the computer clean!!!! if need be - maybe more info is in the link above.
