Can't read any box scores/reports

Hi, whenever I go to read any box score or report of any kind all I get is the hourglass beside my cursor but nothing happens. Also, when I go to an in game roster screen, its a pain in the but switching between pitchers and batters. I usually have to come back to the screnn several times before it shows the pitchers instead of batters. I was wondering if anyone else has run into either of these problems and if anyone knows how to fix them. I just got the game today, and I love it, so I'm hoping I can get everything straight as soon as possible. thanks
system specs:
PIII 550
128MB RAM
32MB TNTultra DiamondViper vid card
20GB HD

ok...fixed the box score/report issue. it still acts up occasionally, but i just exited and restarted and it seems to be doing alright now. still need help with the in game roster issue though.
