Selke trophy needs tweaking?

So in a test run with player creation I have this guy that keeps winning the Selke trophy (actually in an other run he won it 7 times by the time he was 28). But something is fishy.
I dont think his stats deserve that trophy. He barely plays short handed and is -16. Although is GvA/Tka ratio is good. Is it based on the GR and role? If it is I suspect it needs a bit of tweaking.

Compared to the guy who won it in 21-22

I actually think its a step in the right direction to not go by +/-, it is a useless stat in many instances. I actually think that the award to a high degree should go by players defensive attributes, in FHM2 the award recipients was a total joke. Becouse of that it was surprising that the Lady Byng was not available, i mean how hard could it be to implement it.

hard to tell cause we don't know the stats from other D in the league. Just by his own stats though it doesn't look bad. +/- is irrelevant for the most part. I mean it's good but too much needs to be taken into account for it to tell you anything.

why not original icons for trophies by player name if there is NHL license ?

It's worth remembering that offensive performance has a role in the Selke voting, too (whether or not it should is another question.) The last real defensive forward who won it was Kris Draper in 2004, since then it's all been two-way guys.

I can understand that but I dont think there is anyway a Selke winner would only play 4 minutes short handed per season.
